About the Honda Accord Hybrid
Featuring an unparalleled mix of sophistication and style, the dynamic Honda Accord Hybrid is proof that performance and efficiency are no longer mutually exclusive. Thanks to its jaw-dropping 51 city MPG fuel economy rating**, you’ll always be ready to go the distance. This eye-catching midsize sedan retains all of the signature strengths of the conventional Accord and blends them with cutting-edge tech for an enhanced experience behind the wheel. Highlights of a few upscale features you’ll find inside the cabin include wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto smartphone compatibility, leather upholstery, and even a head-up display (HUD). Both cargo and passenger space measurements are maximized thanks to the innovative positioning of its onboard intelligent power unit (IPU) beneath the rear floor. Perhaps most important of all, every Honda Accord Hybrid comes standard with the added confidence of the Honda Sensing® intelligent suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies to keep you one step ahead of danger.
What the Critics Say
The Accord’s straight-line acceleration numbers are substantially quicker than those of the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid, with the Honda reaching 60 mph 0.8 second and 1.0 second sooner than those four-doors. That’s a substantial difference, and you can feel it on the road. Whether it’s in a straight line or on twisty roads, the Japanese midsize sedan handles well, delivering a smooth ride and great body control” — MotorTrend
Fortunately, the accompanying performance is real, manifesting in improved midrange torque that makes the hybrid feel much more responsive around town and on the highway. In addition to the drive modes, Accord Hybrid drivers also have access to six levels of regenerative braking which are selected via paddle shifters on the steering wheel.” — Roadshow by CNET
What's New for 2026
Only one small tweak has been made to the proven formula of the Honda Accord Hybrid for the new model year. For 2026, all Accord Sport Hybrid variants now come standard with black exterior badging and black window trim accents for an even more aggressive exterior appearance. Otherwise, the Accord Hybrid soldiers on mostly unchanged from last year’s version.
Honda Accord Hybrid Features
Fourth-Generation Powertrain
Thanks to the groundbreaking 2.0-liter fourth-generation, two-motor hybrid powertrain of the Honda Accord Hybrid – driving a hybrid sedan no longer means having to sacrifice performance or athleticism. In addition to a robust combined system output of 212 total horsepower, this cutting-edge drivetrain also boasts an astounding EPA-estimated 51 MPG city fuel economy rating**. After all, every type of driver can appreciate spending less of their valuable time and hard-earned money at the gas station! Its onboard compact intelligent power unit (IPU) is expertly located below the floor of the rear of the vehicle, maximizing trunk space and overall utility. Thanks to its standard brake-by-wire technology, the Accord Hybrid provides a more authentic feel while braking along with superior stopping power while recapturing energy. For those who crave the best of both worlds, the Honda Accord Hybrid delivers both in spades thanks to superior efficiency and power delivery.
Tech-Focused Interior
Premium comfort amenities and immersive tech are two additional advantages that you can discover inside the cabin of the Honda Accord Hybrid. Highlights of these upscale features include heated and ventilated leather-trimmed front seats, a Head-Up Display (HUD), and a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature. Say goodbye to the clutter and frustration caused by charging cables thanks to a standard Qi-compatible wireless phone charger in the center console. Standard on all variants is the clever Hybrid Driver Information Interface, providing real-time access to all drive and efficiency info with a quick glance. Meticulously designed to enhance the acoustics of the interior, the Accord Hybrid is also available with a 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System with Centerpoint surround-sound technology for a truly immersive listening experience.
Honda Sensing®
Whether you’re a novice or an experienced driver, we can all appreciate some extra confidence and reassurance on our daily drive. For this exact reason, every Honda Accord comes equipped with the revolutionary collection of safety and driver-assistive technologies known as Honda Sensing®. Providing both convenience and peace of mind, these advanced features will transform the way you drive. Consider the standard Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) feature, giving you the ability to maintain a pre-set following distance without any need to vary your speed manually. Should your Accord Hybrid begin to stray from its intended lane path without activating your turn signal, the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) will take corrective action and steer you gently back into your lane position. The Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) is even able to attempt to stop the vehicle in situations where a frontal collision is a possibility.
